Sorry for not publishing an issue last weekend, I was hanging out south of Birmingham for some friends’ combined stag and hen do, and I didn’t get around to sharing much of anything, however I spent some really wholesome time with people who are very close to me.
Today we’ve got a couple of different updates that I want to talk about, starting with a real biggie that some of you might have received emails about this weekend…
Last chance for free full-platform access
We’re changing things around with the platform, and preparing for bigger things. That means we’re going to remove access to some of what’s currently bundled in, and make it separate access for now.

The offer, as it stands on the landing page today, is PARAZETTEL Foundations. For the next few hours, it’s less than $100 for everything on the platform (as we’re including everything for a month as a bonus!)
If you’re already a member, log in to the platform and take another look around. There’s more in there than the programme itself.
The Great YouTube Comeback
I recently came across a tool that has changed my video editing. It’s called Tella. It’s web-based, and the AI integration goes much deeper than the old Screen Studio software that I had before used to.
Screen Studio was great. It was the de facto screen recorder before the real age of AI, and I think the founders are working on other projects now. It feels like maintenance updates, and maybe one or two small features. They changed their icon recently.
Tella have popped out of the woodwork, and the product is unbelievable. I’m really impressed. The AI integrates, chops up the video, cuts the silences, and I can sit and make an article and a video in a day, relatively comfortably.
We also need a surge on YouTube. The path to YouTube monetisation is going to double, from 4,000 watch hours to 8,000 watch hours, in February. I need to get to the 1,000-subscriber mark, which I think I’ll be able to do. The watch hours are going to be harder. I need to put some longer, deeper cuts up.
Here is the first video back. It’s the new editing style, and making these is much more painless now, including the fact that I’ve moved back into a larger room, with more scope to set things up.
ProseLab has Duolingo-like Drills now…

Redesigning the app is something I’m working on as well, so that it’s cleaner and more beautiful.
Luca and I are still pursuing growing ProseLab, and we’ve been thinking more about how we can make it more of a top to bottom location for learning writing (kind of like how I take you through Foundations and then more advanced stuff in the PARAZETTEL Platform).
Instead of just having exercises to re-write, we’re heading in the direction of drills and the like, so that people can study more granular parts of the craft before they go on to first re-write famous extracts, and second develop their own free-writing practice inside the app as well.
Over the weekend we’ve been rolling out this feature to people, and if you’re a new user, you can create an account and try for free today…
Don’t forget the Foundations page above. It’s a new design I’m quite proud of, based on the new PARAZETTEL platform. That’s the main announcement for the week. Aside from that, we’re going to be pushing YouTube more, and you’ll see more of my face.
See you next week!
