I was halfway between Barcelona and Geneva, for one friend’s birthday, and visiting another friend where she’s just wrapping up a year abroad for her degree.
Now we’re back in town (I’m actually writing this ahead of time because when you receive this I’ll be in London shooting photos), and I’m ready to share this week’s updates with you…
Rebranding a course
One of the most popular courses inside of Premium is (or was) the Claude Code x Obsidian course.
Inside are recordings of longer-form workshops that I’ve held in the past to teach about how I’ve been tying AI into my PKM workflows (increasingly) seamlessly.
Now originally, this really was just with Claude Code. But since they’ve banged their prices way up, since Codex (or even OpenCode) have become comparable agent options, and especially since my uptake of cloud agents (specifically Hermes), it’s seemed like the name of the course has been misleading.
So we’ve now called it the Obsidian x AI & Agents course. A little bit more of a mouthful, but much more reflective of what’s actually contained in the recordings.
The reason that I’m mentioning this though? There’s a new workshop out in this course, and another coming next week too…
Local and Cloud Agents x Obsidian — workshops
On Thursday I hosted a Premium workshop talking about the latest development in my AI agent x PKM stack.
Here are the details, and how you can watch…
- First we talked about how I’m still using local agents (mainly Codex, with the Claudian plugin)
- And then we touched on the newer idea of hosting an agent in the cloud, so it’s always on, has its own resources and is still reachable by messaging platform or SSH
- I introduced the idea of deeper automation, seeing as these agents can run tasks whilst you’re offline, and can also connect to any third-party tool on the internet that has an API or an MCP
And the last point is the main topic in the follow-up workshop coming next week…
Next Friday we’re hosting Part II of the Cloud agents x Obsidian series. It’s going to cover my workflows not only for PARAZETTEL, but for ProseLab and other areas of my life too.

Anyway, I’m in London for the weekend (as I said, doing some more photography for RALY), and visiting my friend who lives in the area.
